In May 2020, a survey carried out in the United Kingdom found that 30 percent of respondents who had worn a face mask outside during the coronavirus pandemic wore a medical mask that they had bought. Furthermore, 26 percent had been wearing a home made cloth mask, while 23 percent wore a cloth face mask that they purchased.
