As of the beginning of March 2020, close to a quarter of British adults were planning to continue with their arranged overseas travel plans despite the global outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Only one percent had already cancelled plans to travel overseas due to the virus, and five percent were considering doing so. Overall, 51 percent of survey respondents said they did not and do not have plans to travel overeseas.

As of March 10, 2020, there were 373 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK, with five reported deaths from the virus.
