In 2019, the air passenger transport between Turkey and the European Union (EU-28) amounted to over 159 million passengers. The European Free Trade Association is a regional trade organization and free trade area consisting of four European states - Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. The EFTA states signed a free trade agreement with Turkey.
