As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Belgium's GDP decreased in 2020. Since the last quarter of 2019, GDP in Belgium decreased by 3.5 percent in the first quarter of 2020 and by a further 12 percent in the second quarter. While these figures remain estimates, the coronavirus outbreak is still expected to have a big impact on the Belgian economy.
