A survey on Indonesians in March 2020 found that **** percent of Indonesian respondents who would still be traveling home wanted to do so because they missed their family and hometown. The annual movement of people from the cities in Indonesia back to their hometowns is known there as "mudik". From April 24, 2020, until May 31, 2020, the Indonesian government has prohibited its citizen to use any transportation for traveling purposes during Ramadan month to suppress the case numbers of coronavirus in Indonesia.
