At the end of 2024, the number of floating storage regasification units (FSRUs) worldwide had increased to ** vessels. Since 2016, figures have more than doubled. FSRUs may be used to store and regasify liquefied natural gas, either docked directly at their destination harbor or used as a means of transportation. By comparison, the number of total LNG tankers including FSRUs reached *** vessels that same year.
