According to a consumer survey from 2019, at least every fourth respondent purchased clothing and footwear at hypermarkets in Finland. The popularity of the hypermarkets (Prisma, K-Citymarket) and discount retailers (Tokmanni, Halpa-Halli) increased considerably from 2018 to 2019. As of 2019, around ** percent of the respondents said that they had bought clothes or footwear at Prisma hypermarket stores in the past 12 months.
Other major clothing retailers in Finland were H&M, Zalando, Sokos, and Stockmann. H&M remained the most popular clothing retailer in 2019, although the share of customers slightly decreased from the previous year. Also, sportswear stores including Intersport, Stadium, XXL Sports & Outdoor, continued to be a popular choice of a clothing purchase for customers in Finland.
