According to a 2018 survey, the vast majority of Japanese respondents - ** percent - believe that immigrants want to adopt local customs and the way of life, rather than remaining distinct. Opinions are very different in many European countries though. ** percent of respondents in Germany believing immigrants wanted to remain distinct, along with ** percent of respondents in Italy and ** percent in Greece.
