As of March 2020, approximately 78 percent of people surveyed in Brazil stated that not going out to work was necessary to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, which causes COVID-19. On the other hand, 37 percent of the respondents said that they had not left their homes to work during the days prior to the survey.
