As of March 16, 2020, 79 percent of consumers in Italy reported that they had decreased their spending on day-to-day in-store purchases because of the coronavirus pandemic. Less than one third of consumers in the UK stated that they had reduced the amount they spent on purchases in the physical retail channel.
