The source wanted to determine the share of women who gave birth in France in 2016, who had a serum screening for trisomy 21 (Down's syndrome) during their pregnancy. That year, more than 88 percent of women who had a child reported having been tested for the risk of trisomy 21 during pregnancy. Moreover, about five percent of women refused the screening test.
