Southern States in the U.S. have witnessed less winter snow by 2019 as they had in the , particularly in the Southeast where ** percent of weather stations recorded a decrease in snowfall in winter months. Although it is not completely clear how new snowfall will be affected everywhere in the United States, less snow is being observed in the spring and fall as well, and there is also a clear downward trend for most regions for total snowfall.
