All figures stem from either the��or the��. Both use figures submitted by the country's central bank to either or both sources.

2022 figures and beyond - release date November 2023 and later - made significant strides in reporting quality, sometimes causing significant breaks in methodology in individual countries. ��ƽ�� sometimes still had to calculate figures, however, as card figures were split between non-remote and remote use cases, or credit cards were not always clearly defined.��

Citation formats

The number of credit cards in Turkey made up roughly ** percent of all payment cards issued in the country in 2024. Debit cards were found more often in the country, as that year there were around *** million of these cards. The numbers provided are estimates, based on the figures central banks have to supply. Owning a payment card does not immediately indicate it gets used often, as there are large differences within Europe when it comes to the use of certain payment methods.
