The average consumer in Poland ate *** grams of confectionery goods per month in 2024. This was a slight decrease compared to the previous year. The lowest result was recorded in 2016, with *** grams per capita.Â
     The number of chocolate and sugar confectionery manufacturers in Poland fluctuated over the years, amounting to *** enterprises in 2019. The irregularity in the number of manufacturers reflects Poland’s confectionery production value, which has decreased drastically since 2015. In 2020, the sold production volume of sugar candies amounted to just over ** million kilograms, also a decrease compared to the previous years.  
     The smaller national production volume results in a steadily increasing import value of sugar confectionery, which amounted to over *** million euros in 2021. Furthermore, the import volume reached an all-time high record of *** metric tons. Despite this, the country remains a significant exporter of sugar confectionery products. In 2021, Poland exported nearly **** thousand metric tons of candies and related products.
