In 2020, the Polish government plans to introduce a sugar tax. Although 68.8 percent of customers in Poland have heard about these changes, most of them do not express a favorable opinion. Among those who have previously heard of the tax, 91 percent believe that it will increase food prices. Only five percent stated that they would remain at the same level, and one percent expect them to fall. Less pessimistic are those surveyed who have not heard of a sugar tax before. Eighty-five percent of those surveyed thought that prices would rise.
