In 2019, only ** percent of musical festival attendees in the United Kingdom were drawn by headline acts alone. The vast majority, ** percent, purchased tickets when **** of the line-up was announced and ** percent did so with half of the line-up revealed. In contrast, only ** percent of festival goers waited until all musical acts were confirmed to make their purchase. Despite many being drawn by the allure of the festival experience itself, it is clear that for a large number of attendees in 2019, the music itself remained a primary attraction factor.
