As of 2019, a survey was conducted by investigating the purchasing behavior towards organic food in Germany. It was found that the majority of the respondents (38.04 percent) asserted that between ten and 50 percent of their grocery shopping consisted of organic food. Only 13.16 percent bought mostly organic products, while for 18.62 percent of the respondents organic food made up more than half of the shopping cart.
