This statistic presents the share of respondents that identified as having participated in snooker, pool, and billiards, from 2015 to 2021, in a survey undertaken to assess the experience of sport in Northern Ireland. The share of the total population of respondent that have participated in these cue sports, in Northern Ireland, has remained stable from 2015 to 2020. However, this statistic shows that there is a significant dichotomy between within the participation demographics of snooker, pool, and billiards in Northern Ireland. In all years surveyed, the share of male respondents identifying as having played participated in cue sports was shown to be greater than ** percent, whereas the share of female respondents that identified as having participated in cue sports was only *** percent from 2015 to 2018, exhibiting a slight increase to percent in 2019. The share of respondents that have undertaken this activity has decreased to *** percent in 2021, although it is possible that the decrease observed in 2021 may be attributed to the change in methodology discussed within the supplementary notes.
