*The source adds the following information: 'Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, data collection for the 2020/21 survey moved from face-to-face interviewing to telephone mode with a reduction in the number of questions. The results from the CHS 2020/21 are not directly comparable to previous years due to the significant changes to the survey in terms of methodology and content. The output from the survey, in terms of the range and depth of topics covered, has been reduced from that of previous years, with the subsequent capacity for detailed analysis constrained.'

This statistic presents the share of respondents that identified as having participated in golf from 2015 to 2021, in a survey undertaken to assess the experience of sport in Northern Ireland. The share of respondents that have played golf in Northern Ireland saw an initial decline in from *** percent to percent in 2016, however from 2016 to 2021 has not shown any significant variations. The decline seen from 2015 to 2016 is largely due to a reduction in the proportion of male respondents that identified as having participated in the sport.
