In 2018, around half of Swedes saved money in case they needed it at some point. In detail, this was the primary purpose for ** percent of the respondents between 34 and 50 years. In contrast, ** percent of the respondents between 51 and 64 years saved money for the pension. Furthermore, ** percent of the respondents in the youngest age group saved up money for a specific purpose, while only ** percent of the respondents in the oldest age group did the same.
