In 2018, Nordic millennials between 18 and 26 years used their smartphone for financial activities to a greater extent than millennials between 27 and 37 years. This was particularly the case in terms of car loans. Here, 31 percent of the respondents would use their smartphone to rent a car, while only four percent of the respondents in the oldest age group would do the same. During this year, the most common financial activity for millennials in the oldest age group was to send or receive money via their smartphone (20 percent).
