The data were obtained by the source from the national report on the inventory of anthropogenic emissions by sources and removals by sinks of greenhouse gases not controlled by the Montreal Protocol.

In 2022, the volume of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions produced by the industrial sector in Russia decreased to  million tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) equivalent. The 2021 year recorded the highest figure over the period under consideration at million tons of CO₂ equivalent. Back in 2013, Russian industry emitted approximately  million tons of CO₂ equivalent of greenhouse gases into Earth's atmosphere.
