Between 2014 and 2019, the per capita consumption of meat was consistently lower in the EU-N13 countries than in the EU-15 countries. However, the per capita consumption of meat in the newer EU countries increased significantly between 2014 and 2019, while the amount of meat consumed by people in the EU-15 remained comparatively stable.
