As of 2017, teachers in the Netherlands appeared to rely largely on traditional teaching tools and methods. Close to ** percent of teachers surveyed as part of this study into ICT usage in education indicated that they used paper workbooks and learning materials in more than ** percent of their lessons, while a similar share of respondents indicated that they used learning materials based on specific teaching methods. Meanwhile, the interactive whiteboard emerged as the most frequently used teaching application in the Netherlands in 2017, with ** percent of respondents using this tool in nearly every lesson.
