Effective exchange rate index for major developed and emerging countries 2018-2020
Over the last year, the Brazilian real has declined in value according to the effective exchange index, dropping to an index value of in September 2020. This is down from in January 2020. Over this period, the exchange value of other major developed and developing economies have remained comparatively more stable, notwithstanding an ** point fall in the value of Russian ruble in March 2020.
