Non-profit news organizations are growing around the world to combat the political biases and spread of partisan media outlets. However, when survey respondents in India were asked on whether they would consider making a donation to a news outlet they liked if the organization was unable to cover their costs in other ways, a majority of the people were ambivalent. However, *** percent of the respondents strongly agreed to the idea, indicating a potential for a donation-based business model in the news media.
