In the Asian macro-region, China is among the most relevant destinations of Italian wine. In 2017, Italy ranked as the fifth supplier of bottled wine in China by import volume. Furthermore, during the same year, Italy represented the second exporter of sparkling wine of fresh grapes to China with a value of ** billion Canadian dollars, preceded only by France.
