The survey was conducted using an online interview administered to members of a panel comprising of over 30,000 individuals. The survey classified women as 'married', 'single' or 'other', in which the 'other' category refers to unmarried women who may be in a relationship, or would rather not say.

Around ** percent of all the surveyed women said they would like to have the option of flexi work-hours or days to be provided by their employers. This was in response to a survey conducted between September and October 2018 about the opinion on additional facilities to be provided by employers among working women in India, based on their marital status.
