Italy is a top world tourism destination. However, when it comes to business travel, the country’s reputation is not as widespread as that of other European countries. Nonetheless, international visitors traveling for work or professional purposes still accounted for roughly 15 million of the nearly 86 million overnight and same-day travelers the European nation welcomed in 2023. Moreover, Italy was also expected to be among the top ten business travel spenders the following year, with estimates totaling above 37 billion U.S. dollars.
