Car sharing in Germany - statistics & facts
Car sharing refers to the organized rental of one or more cars in a customer community. Rentals are often short-term and used for commuting in a city. The most used car sharing service in Germany was SHARE NOW (comprised of the formerly separate car2go and DriveNow), followed by MILES and Sixt Share. SHARE NOW also had the largest number of vehicles available to share. 1,271 German cities and towns had car sharing services as of 2024.
