The Seattle Seahawks are a professional football team that competes in the National Football League (NFL) in the league's National Football Conference (NFC) West division. Based in Seattle, Washington, the current owner is the Paul G. Allen Trust, after the passing of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in 2018, who bought the team in 1997 for 194 million U.S. dollars. The team joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1979 and has appeared in three Super Bowls, winning the championship twice in 2014 and,most recently, in 2026. The team was then led by Marshall Lynch (running back) and Russell Wilson (quarterback) under Pete Carroll as head coach. During 2014, the Seahawks recorded a 14 wins 2 losses season, ranking number one in the NFC.Â
