This statistic illustrates the percentage of internet users in the United States who have experienced at least one form of digital harassment or abuse by a current or former romantic partner as of July 2016, sorted by age group. According to the surveyed results, 22 percent of respondents aged 15 to 29 years reported to having experienced at least one form of digital harassment or abuse by a current or former romantic partner. Such abuse includes monitoring of online or phone activity without permission, purposeful embarassment online, offensive name-calling, online stalking, revenge porn, as well as physical threats made online, doxxing and many more. Only eight percent of respondents older than 30 years stated the same.
