* Index is calculated each year in constant prices, using the previous year as the base (100). The figures therefore represent the change in retail sales year on year.
Groups of enterprises were created based on the Polish Classification of Activities – PKD 2007. A given enterprise is included in a specific category by predominating kind of activity and according to its present organizational status. The recorded changes of rise or fall in the volume of retail sales in particular groups of enterprises' activity may result from a change in the predominating kind of activity and organizational changes (e.g. a merger of enterprises). This does not have an impact on the dynamics of the total retail sales.

The results are presented as an index, where the previous year = 100. In 2024, **** sectors in Polish retail recorded an increase in sales, with automotive increasing the most. However, furniture, electronic and household appliances saw the highest decrease of **** percent y/y.
