This statistic illustrates a forecast of the most cross-border focused countries for merger and acquisition (M&A) activity in Asia and Asia Pacific (APAC) from 2019 to 2021. Indonesia has been forecasted to concentrate more heavily on cross-border deals between 2019 and 2021, with an estimated ** percent of all deals being done cross-border.
Cross-border mergers and acquisitions usually face a number of difficulties including differing tax rules and deal regulations, cultural and language hurdles, labor and employment issues as well as political differences.
