An Entrepreneurial Spirit Index was created by combining responses:
Very high = average rate 6 or higher on the items
High = average rate 5 on the items
Moderate = average rate 4 on the items
Low = average rate 3 or lower on the items.
The results have been weighted to represent the entire population.

In this statistic only the two highest valued and the two lowest valued attributes are displayed.

The statistic displays the two lowest and highest valued attributes associated with entrepreneurial spirit in Japan in 2018. The results of a survey conducted by Ipsos indicated that Japan had a low entrepreneurial spirit. Around ** percent of those surveyed were ranked as having a high or very high entrepreneurial spirit, while the share of those considered to have a low entrepreneurial spirit reached around ** percent.
