This statistic shows the evolution of daily smokers among the French population between 2000 and 2021 by gender. Despite an increase between 2019 and 2020, the overall trend was a decrease of the share of smokers in France in the past two decades: 30 percent of the respondents were daily smokers in 2000, compared to 25.3 percent in 2021.
