The data originates from the German Startup Monitor (Deutscher Startup Monitor (DSM)), for which high-quality datasets from founders and CEOs are collected annually online. For this, founders and management members in startups receive a special survey link by email, which is sent only to selected DSM network partners. After adjusting the datasets, DSM 2018 had 1,550 datasets from founders and CEOs. The statistic displayed here is based on 414 of these datasets.
