Definitions of listed indicators according to the source:
- Total early-stage entrepreneurial activity (TEA) rate: percentage of the population aged 18-64 years who are in the process of starting a business or already started a business (a nascent entrepreneur or owner-manager of a new business) which is less than 42 months old.
- Established business ownership rate (EB): percentage of the population aged 18–64 years who are currently an owner manager of an established business, i.e. owning and managing a running business that has paid salaries, wages or any other payments to the owners for more than 42 months.
- Informal investment: percentage of the population aged 18-64 years who are investing in someone else's new business in the past three years.
