The outflow of nationals for employment includes only the citizens who left their country for employment purposes, or the 鈥渇or work鈥 emigrants. This group therefore excludes the accompanying family members whose purpose of migration was not employment at the time of entry to the destination country.
In 2017, the outflow of Vietnamese nationals for employment reached about 134.75 thousand. In that year, there were approximately 4.76 thousand international migrants living in Vietnam.
