Although the revenue of Peab decreased from 2019 to 2021, it is still the construction firm with the highest turnover in Sweden. Meanwhile, the turnover of Skanska also decreased during that period, while NCC reached its pre-pandemic revenue levels. However, in general, the turnover of the Swedish construction and building industry suffered the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Swedish construction companies worldwide

In 2020, there were four Swedish companies among the 100 biggest construction firms worldwide. Skanska, with a revenue of ** billion U.S. dollars, was the first Swedish company in that ranking, followed by Peab, NCC, and JM AB.
