How do Swedes feel about artificial intelligence (AI)? As of 2018, ** percent of the respondents to a survey, stated to feel generally positive towards it. In contrast, ** percent of the respondents found AI as negative. In 2017, roughly one third of the interviewed women and more than half of the interviewed men in Sweden answered that they knew what AI was. In total, ** percent of the Swedes were familiar with artificial intelligence that year.

 Problems with AI

Half of the surveyed Swedes found AI as a problembecause the technology could be used for crime, as of 2017. Women, especially, were worried about this, believing it to be the biggest threat of artificial intelligence. Men, on the other hand, thought there could be security issues with AI technology.

 Application areas of AI in organizations

On a global scale, artificial intelligence had been applied in different ways in organizations. The most common application area in 2018 was detecting and determining security intrusions. Resolving users’ technology problems came second in the list in the evaluated period.
