Despite 2017 seeing a decrease in the number of new companies receiving venture capital investment in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), overall figures have grown from 2009 onwards. In 2022, *** of companies receiving venture capital investment were at the start-up stage as opposed to *** that were at the seed stage and a further ** at the later stage venture.
