2021 set a record for venture capital investments in the United States, amounting to approximately billion U.S. dollars, more than twice as much as the previous year. This peak was followed by sharp decreases in both 2022 and 2023, before the VC investment landscape picked up in 2024. As of 2025, total VC deal value in the U.S. was billion U.S. dollars, the second highest value after the 2021 peak. Venture capital is defined as temporary equity investment in young, innovative, non-listed companies that stand out on the market. Although the companies lack the current earning power, they have above average growth potential, which makes them an attractive investment opportunity.Â
