In 2023, the United States produced some 590,000 metric tons of marketable feldspar. Feldspar refers to a group of minerals that contain alumina and silica. Feldspars are used as fluxing agents in ceramics and glass, as well as filler in plastic, paint, rubber, and adhesives.
