In 2025, Indonesia's solar energy capacity was approximately megawatts, showing a sharp increase from the year prior. At the end of 2020, Indonesia officially started the development of the Cirata floating solar power plant in West Java, which has now become Indonesia's largest solar power plant and Southeast Asia's largest floating power plant.
