In 2021, approximately 44.3 percent of women in Peru reported suffering from a chronic health problem, compared to around 34.6 percent of men. In comparison to 2011, the share of both men and women who reported suffering from these type of health problems have increased, by nearly four percentage points for women and over two percentage points for men.
