According to a survey conducted in Europe in 2020, ** percent of diabetes sufferers reported experiencing more episodes of hyperglycemia (when blood sugar levels are too high) during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent restrictions. Just over half of respondents said they suffered the same amount of episodes of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels) during the pandemic compared to before.
