According to the Swedish Standard Classification of Occupations 2012 (SSYK 2012), which is a system for classifying and aggregating data about occupations in administrative registers or statistical surveys, the skill level reflects the type of working tasks and their complexity. Level 1 covers elementary education at primary school level. In a Swedish context, this means no or a low formal education requirements. Level 2 covers education programs at upper secondary and tertiary level of no more than 2 years in length.

Information, communication, and public relations is the only sector where a majority of the managers are women.
