This statistic provides information about the distribution of non-performing loan transactions in the Italian banking system in 2017, broken down by type of disposal. According to data, a large proportion of non-performing loans were removed without securitization (** percent). Only **** percent of the bad loans were securitized with GACS.
GACS is a guarantee scheme promoted since the beginning of 2016 by the Italian government in order to assist banks in securitizing and removing non-performing loans.
