Over the past decade, the internal travel and tourism consumption in Guyana has been turbulent. The industry in the Latin American country reached its highest amount for these ten years in 2011, with 210.5 million U.S. dollars. In comparison, Guyana's 2019 internal tourism consumption amounted to 135.1 million U.S. dollars. Nevertheless, this was still an increase from the 125.2 million reported the year prior.
